Artist' Impression Of Dubai Golf City

Dubai Golf City is located in the suburb of Dubai, UAE. It is a unique multi-storey 6 Star Hotel with villas overlooking a golf terrain. The main hotel building is designed with an inviting atrium which goes all the way up to the roof and brings in plenty of daylight on each floor and improves indoor environmental quality.

ZEF worked on the Computational Fluid Dynamics and Thermal Modelling of this project and advised on pedestrian wind comfort, thermal massing, solar collection and sustainable heating. ZEF used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to model airflows and temperatures throughout the three-dimensional atrium space in order to test and verify non-conventional ventilation strategies such as natural ventilation and displacement ventilation.
