3D Rendering Of The Proposed Development From Hoxton Square
Located in an emerging area of East London, this development will replace an existing building with an exciting new mixed-use structure that will house a retail unit, commercial offices and residential flats above.

A special effort on fabric and fa├žade was carried through detailed dynamic thermal simulations. Windows and light wells were designed to maximise passive solar heating, natural ventilation and daylight, whilst minimizing summertime overheating, excessive breezes and glare discomfort.

The main aims of our studies and design were as follows:

> Replace the existing building with an energy efficient and a sustainable mixed-use development.

> Contribute to the national targets to reduce the UK National CO2 emission by 2010.

> Reduce the maintenance and the running cost.

> Create a landmark in architecture and in engineering.
