Along with Hopkins Architects, ZEF is working on Cockthorpe House, a new build dwelling intended to be a holiday retreat. The proposal is for a simple, energy efficient house constructed of low embodied energy materials. Concrete rubble on site is to be used in the construction of a gravity wall, thereby reducing on site wastage as well as carbon emissions due to transportation of building materials.
